Design libraries can be downloaded and linked into your working projects so you have instant access to any of the design assets within them.
Although libraries can be used with earlier versions, these instructions are for GUI Design Studio 4.0 (all editions).
Download the library ZIP file to your shared GUI Design Studio library documents folder:
On Windows 10 / 8 / 7 / Vista:
\Users\Public\Documents\GUI Design Studio\Libraries\
On Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\GUI Design Studio\Libraries\
Use your favourite unzip tool to extract the contents of the ZIP to the same location. If the library has been packed properly, this should create a sub-folder for the library. You can now delete the ZIP file if you want.
If you're updating an existing library, it should be safe to simply overwrite any existing contents. If in doubt, make a backup copy of the library folder first.
Use the "Project | Add Project Link..." menu command (or the button on the Project panel) then browse for the .gdp file of the library you just extracted.
If you extracted to the shared Libraries folder in Step 2, the library should be listed at the bottom of the "New Project" dialog. Simply check the box and it will be added to your project.
Whether the library contains icons, images, component designs or custom elements, simply drag and drop them from the design panels just as you would for any assets within your own project.
